[Attila Szlay] Attila Szlay (B.A. Contemporary Music, B.Teaching, Secondary)
Working as an Education Specialist for Roland Corporation Australia, Attila has been involved with Roland for many years in numerous parts of the business. As an Educator, Attila has worked as a music teacher in high schools around NSW, teaching the curriculum and Music Industry VET courses. He has worked on developing Music Education and the use of ICT in classrooms. Attila has led education workshops in 'hip hop' and digital recording as part of the 'Values for education' initiatives. A published author he has written for Music in Action on technology applications for the classroom. As an Education Specialist Attila has been actively engaging schools delivering lessons using an array of technology, and has been a strong supporter of composition studies in high schools. Attila is also an accomplished musician, performing in Sydney at corporate functions and recognised popular live venues.

[Alison Rogers] Alison Rogers is the director of Vocal Manoeuvres, a company specialising in voice performance and education. She designed the Young Conservatorium Choral Program at the Queensland Conservatorium, for which she served as director for four years. While regional director for the Queensland Conservatorium, she implemented choral programs on the Gold and Sunshine Coast campuses, and led ensembles on tours of Japan, the USA, and Canada. Alison has worked with artists such as Michael Buble, Mariah Carey and Neil and Tim Finn and was chorus master for two performances of Beethoven’s Symphony Number 9 with Sir Neville Marriner and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. In 2008, Alison was a guest lecturer at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory at the National University of Singapore and has been invited to present additional seminars at the Conservatory in 2009. In addition to directing the Vocal Manoeuvres Academy and the casting agency Artist Manoeuvres, Alison directs the QPAC Choir and has provided vocal and choral training to Education Queensland’s Creative Generation since its inception in 2005.

[Allan Melville] Allan Melville (BA, Grad Dip Ed, ATCL)

Allan has been a music educator for over 20 years in New South Wales and Queensland. His experience includes composing, arranging, and performing in rock and jazz genres. Allan has incorporated music technology into the curriculum since 1987 and his creative use of technology has been the focus of demonstrations to music teachers, university students, politicians and international educators.

  [Bradley Eustace] Bradley Eustace is a much respected music teacher with a flourishing studio in Brisbane where he teaches the next generation of keyboard players. His qualifications include a Masters in Music Technology from the University of Newcastle, Advanced Diploma in Educational Technology from the Australian Guild of Music Education, L.Mus.A., A.Mus.A., A.Y.M.F. (piano and organ). He also works closely with modern technology, exploring the performance potential of MIDI. He has previously written several books on organ sold mainly in the UK and, more recently, has developed educational software for music teachers and students. His latest publications include a series of piano and keyboard books styled the Bradley Eustace Digital Music Library, which are designed to take advantage of the benefits of modern technology and are suited to students from the new learner to advanced performer. Brad has presented specialised clinics for Casio musical instruments at national dealer conferences and also conducts a range of student/teacher workshops exploring the links between modern technology and education.

[Lionel Murray] Lionel Murray

Lionel Murray is the Managing Director of Datasonics, a company focused on developing musical tools to assist educators and students in learning all aspects of music. He is an experienced musician playing flute, sax, keyboards and bass guitar working also as an arranger and producer in recording studios together with leading choirs and bands. [Peter Lee] Peter Lee graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1998. While completing a Bachelor of Music, Peter commenced work with his partners on Auralia, a software package specifically designed to assist music students with their aural skills. Initially only available in Australia, Auralia was soon widely exported to countries including the USA, UK, New Zealand, Sweden and Germany. Translations into languages such as German, Swedish, Chinese and Hungarian were completed. A companion package for theory studies, Musition, was soon released.
Peter continues to enhance Auralia and Musition and works with teachers and students from around the world exploring developments in music education and technology, and will be available during the day to speak with interested delegates about Auralia and Musition software.

[Peter Wardrobe] Peter Wardrobe first studied at Southern Cross University where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Music. He then studied at Melbourne University where he completed a Bachelor of Teaching degree and subsequently taught classroom music for 5 years. Peter then explored his love of music technology at the Alfred Brash SoundHouse at The Arts Centre in Melbourne as programme delivery coordinator. He has now brought his skills to Sibelius where he is a full time Education specialist, developing new ways of integrating Sibelius software into the Australian music classroom.

  [Ray Partridge] Ray Partridge has been one of Australia’s leading trainers in Music Technology for over 20 years and is well aware of the great opportunities that music technology can provide to both the educator and student. Recently, Ray presented a number of informative and entertaining workshops for the Music Teacher’s Association of South Australia.

  [Karen Henderson] Karen Henderson, since completing a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and a Graduate Certificate in Music Technology from University of Newcastle, has had vast experience in music education from preschool to tertiary level. In 1990, drawing on her background in music teaching, performance and recording she formed Binary Designs, a Brisbane-based company specialising in linking music and technology. She has evangelised the use of music technology in music education and takes every opportunity to share her ideas with other music educators. In addition to her co-director role with her husband Len in Binary Designs, she has lectured in Music Technology at Griffith University in Brisbane and is a popular presenter at Music Conferences throughout Australia.

  [Len Henderson] Len Henderson (M.Sc.) is a director of Binary Music, a company focused on helping music educators get the most out of using technology in their work. Even before the company formed in 1990 he was using the latest technological innovations in his music performances and compositions. With the rapid development of computer-based music technology and its expanded use in schools, Len has provided technical advice as well as training and professional development for teachers and students throughout Australia. Len is also a keen guitarist, having performed on several contemporary music recordings in the jazz and rock genres.
