Garritan Personal Orchestra: Sibelius Edition
Garritan Personal Orchestra Sibelius Edition gives you all of the instruments from the award-winning Garritan Personal Orchestra sample library, one of the highest quality collections of orchestral instruments ever sampled.
It includes all the major instruments of the orchestra – strings, brass, woodwinds, and percussion – as well as ones not found in other orchestral libraries, such as a Steinway concert grand piano and a Stradivarius violin. With 270 pitched instruments and five unpitched percussion ensembles containing 58 separate percussion sounds, the collection even contains subtly different versions of the same instrument to distinguish players, allowing you to hear your score played back with stunningly realistic quality.
Garritan Personal Orchestra integrates seamlessly with Sibelius 4, and automatically reads and interprets performance indications such as articulation marks, playing techniques, slurs and dynamics (including hairpins on sustained notes) to make full use of GPO's advanced sample programming, providing an exceptionally lifelike performance of your score.
The collection comes with a special version of the acclaimed Kontakt sample player from Native Instruments, which lets you play 32 different sounds at once, and includes a range of adjustable parameters – reverb, brightness, tuning and other audio characteristics – so you can control the sound of each instrument individually. You can even export an audio file to create a CD of your music, or convert to an MP3 file.

The list below shows the instruments that are included, and indicates where there are multiple sounds for an instrument. Some instruments have an accompanying MP3 file to demonstrate them; you can also hear samples of more individual instruments on the Garritan site.
Tip : listen to the MP3 samples with good headphones or through a hi-fi. Most computer speakers aren't good enough to give an accurate impression of them. |
