Sibelius Groovy Music - Jungle - Aural/Theory/Reference

Sibelius Groovy Jungle introduces children to notes and notation, ostinato, major and minor, and simple musical terms. More complex musical textures are explored, and additional instruments allow them to experiment further with their own compositions.

Fun & easy to use

In the Explore section, children are guided aurally through a series of progressive musical exercises and games, which teach them how music works.

In the Create section, children can put into practice what they’ve learned by creating their own music.

The shapes represent elements of music like rhythm, melody and chords. Children simply drag these onto the screen to build up their creation. Then they can play back their piece, edit it, or even see the elements displayed as musical notation.

Notation Viewer

In Groovy's Create mode, the individual notes of each musical element can be viewed by simply double-clicking the shape.

Elements can be viewed and edited using a simple representation of pitch and rhythm, which is particularly useful for non-specialists.

Standard notation can also be used. Children are taught how to use notation naturally as they progress through the three programs.
