PhotoScore MIDI Lite 4 reads the following musical markings:
- Notes & chords (including ties, tail direction, beams & flags), rests, in up to 2 voices per
staff

Flats, sharps and naturals
-
Treble and bass clefs, key signatures, time signatures
-
5-line staves (normal and small), standard barlines
-
The format of the page, including the page size, staff size, margins, and where systems end

Please note that tuplets/triplets, appoggiatura, cue-sized notes, text, articulation marks, slurs, hairpins,
percussion staves, guitar tab and guitar chord diagrams/frames are not recognized, and there is a limit of 12 staves per page, and 20 pages per score
Windows® Versions
To use PhotoScore 4 for Windows your system requires the following hardware:

An IBM compatible Pentium or higher PC with Windows 98 2nd Edition/Me/2000/XP
or later. At least 128MB RAM - 192MB is recommended or 256MB if using Windows 2000/XP. If your computer has less than 128MB RAM, contact your supplier for a memory upgrade. More than
256MB may be desirable if you need to scan small staves a lot, or for scanning photos and graphics.

Your computer should also have a reasonable amount of free hard disk space - at
least 40MB and preferably rather more.

Adobe Reader 6.0 or later should be installed to view PhotoScore’s PDF
help.

Sibelius/G7 users note: Although PhotoScore will work with Sibelius/G7 version
1.3 and higher, It is recommended that you use Sibelius/G7 4.0 or higher as it has greatly improved PhotoScore importing capabilities.

A scanner (probably connected to your computer via a USB, Printer or SCSI
port), and installed TWAIN or WIA driver software.
Mac
OS X® Versions
To use PhotoScore 4 for Mac OS X your system requires the following
hardware:

An Apple Macintosh PowerPC with Mac OS X 10.2 or higher. It should have at
least 128MB RAM and 256MB is recommended. If your computer has less than 128MB RAM, contact your supplier for a memory upgrade. More than 256MB may be desirable if you need to scan
small staves a lot, or for scanning photos and graphics.

Apple Preview or Adobe Reader 6.0 or later should be installed to view
PhotoScore’s PDF help.

classic Mac OS TWAIN drivers will not work). You may need to contact your scanner manufacturer for information on installing a suitable TWAIN driver. If a Mac OS X TWAIN driver is not
available for your scanner, you will need to scan using separate software, save suitable TIFF files, and open these in PhotoScore.
