PSD340

In Depth Overview

Recording

Familiar Controls

The PSD340 functions much like a tape recorder with familiar Play/Pause, Record, Fast-Forward and Rewind Buttons. Each drive has its own dedicated set of buttons, and you can tell which drive is activated by which set of buttons is lit.

One-Button CD Recording

To record directly to CD, simply press the RECORD button. Every time you stop or pause, you'll be creating a CD track. You can also create tracks while recording using the IR remote's Track Increment Button. You can take a disc out of the unit and put it back in later and keep recording on it. Once you press the FINALIZE button and the CD-R disc's table of contents is written, it will play back on most any CD player. You can use CD-RW discs which can be erased and recorded over; keep in mind that not every CD player can recognize CD-RW discs.

Record-Review

To play back what you've just recorded simply press the Record Review button. The unit will stop recording, mute the mics, and play back the last recorded track. You can do this from the remote control as well.

"Needle Drop" Recording

Just like dropping a needle onto a record, you can start recording from any point in a song. It's easy to copy just a few beats or measures of a song.

Reverb & Delay

Add reverb or delay to recordings. You can adjust the amount of reverb from zero to a lot. These effects are available for the built-in mic, mic inputs, and rear panel inputs.
